Hey there and WELCOME to my personal site for Kate @ FTM Travel! I am so glad you’re here! I have been working on this site for months now and I am so excited to finally be able to launch it.
I became a travel advisor with Fairy TripMother and FTM Travel in January of this year. It took a few months of training to be able to officially launch my business, but I have been blown away at the growth that has come in the eight months since. If you had asked me in March what I hoped this first year with FTM would bring, I would have said 5-10 clients. As of November 1st, I’ve already planned almost 20 trips for 2024! And that number is still going up! CRAZY!
So, how did we get here? Why trip planning?
If you read my “About Me” page, you already know the answer to this question: I was raised on travel. Some of my fondest memories as a kid are on summer vacations with my family. Of course, we loved Disney, but we also traveled all over the country: California, Wyoming, New York, Alaska, and more! It gave me a desire to see the world, and I have carried that desire with me into my adult life.
Even with all the travel, it wasn’t until I became a Walt Disney World Cast Member that I started to have a desire to plan other people’s trips. I saw first hand on my shifts that people really needed help with their vacations!
I remember once during a shift in Toy Story Land, I spent thirty minutes using the receipt paper at my register to breakdown the Genie+/LL system (now Single/Multi Pass) for a guest that was so frustrated with the system and did not understand how it worked. I felt so bad for this woman - she had spent so much money to come to Disney and was so frustrated that her grandchildren couldn’t ride what they wanted to, all because she had no idea how the system worked. She couldn’t start that day over or get her money back.

Fast Forward to December 2023…
Fast forward to late 2023: after having settled into teaching, I start feeling that pull back towards trip planning. My mom reminds me of her friends from years ago: they have an incredible business they’ve built as travel advisors called FTM (or Fairy TripMother) Travel. Speaking with the owners Christy and Jami, I knew immediately this was an agency I wanted to work with: they care deeply for their clients from booking the trip to returning home, they treat their clients to a concierge-level service, and they have access to so many different suppliers that my tool box is never empty, no matter what type of trip request I receive.
While it has only been eight months of accepting clients, its been almost a year since I first connected with them and began the process of becoming an agent for FTM Travel. I am already so thankful for this team, this business, and the opportunity to once again make magic for guests - whether they’re traveling to Disney or another part of the world.
